2015 $100 Centenary Of The First World War Simpson & Donkey 1oz Gold Proof

Struck by Switzerland’s precious metal specialists, Produits Artistiques Métaux Précieux (PAMP) to comemorate Private John Simpson Kirkpatrick who at only 22 years old became a national hero. Simpson found himself on the shores of Gallipoli at dawn on April 25th 1915. He quickly befriended a donkey who aided him in rescuing wounded men from the frontline.

With a very limited mintage of only 150 worldwide this coin sold out at the mint.
