2015 Ten Dollars Centenary of the Gallipoli Landing Gold Proof Coin

The ANZAC legend was forged in the battles fought on the beaches and hillsides of Gallipoli, where AUstralians and New Zealanders severed side-by-side. The landings on 25 April 1915 marked the beginning of eight months of bitter fighting, resulting in 26,000 Australian casualties, or which 8,000 died.

This 99.99% Gold proof coin, produced by the Royal Australian Mint, has a mintage of only 1,500.

The reverse of the coin features the symbolic Lone Pine tree.
